This photo was taken in flåm in Norway. The secound I saw these across the other side of the water I knew it would make a great photo.Time
We had just come of the train all the way from Oslo to flåm. It was blistering heat in the early afternoon. It having been a heatwave when I left from the UK it was a shock that it was even hotter in Norway.Lighting
This seemed to make itself the composition and light was just there waiting to be capture. It was early July and clear blue skies were overhead. The bright daylight really made the colours pop.Equipment
I shoot his on my Panasonic Lumix dmc-fz1000. Being a bridge camera I didn't use any other kit for this shot.Inspiration
I had always loved Scandinavia and last year I got the chance to visit Norway and it was amazing. It seemed around every was a great shot waiting for me. The beautiful scenery of the fjords is the perfect inspiration.Editing
Most of the post-processing I did on this was just cleaning up the shot a bit. I had to crop the photo as I had shot it not completely straight. I also played around with the highlights and shadow a tiny bit just to emphasise the detail and colours I had captured. In my camera bag
I'm only a hobby photographer and being a student I don't have the money for any amazing kit so all I travel with is my trusty lumix bridge camera and sometimes a tripod.Feedback
Probably the main advice I would give is go to Norway! It's an amazing place, if you are a photography into architecture, landspace, wildlife or culture Norway will have stooping every secound for a new photo opportunity.
