Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Marquette, Michigan. It is in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior and one of the most beautiful places on the planet!

Time

Mid-afternoon

Lighting

It was an unusual day because it was gloomy and overcast, yet very bright because of the time of year and the lake.

Equipment

Point and shoot Canon Powershot

Inspiration

I had never seen anything like it. This winter was called the "polar vortex" and temperatures commonly reached -30 to -50 degrees that winter. Everything was so icy and frigid, yet was so beautiful. Lake Superior is is a majestic lady!

Editing

Just a bit of simple retouching

In my camera bag

Extra batteries
