I really like this shot because the water is not so blurred. I know the blurred waterfall is very popular right now but I enjoy seeing some dimension in the water as it rolls across the rocks. Very nice picture

Location
This photo was taken along the Highway 6 North of Nakusp toward the Galena Bay ferry when you go North to Revelstoke. The waterfall is in a small Provincial Park beside the Highway. This is in British Columbia Canada .Time
The time of the day was around 10 0'clock .The photo was taken facing east .Lighting
The lighting was great , it was not needed to use extra lighting ,the natural lighting was beautiful and did the trick.Equipment
The camera I used was an Nikon D 7000 with an Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-105 mm 1:35-5.6 G ED Lens .No tripod or flash or anything else was used .Inspiration
I knew about this place a long time ,this is an very beautiful area and I wanted to take a few photo's.The area is very green with lakes, rivers and old mining towns, Ghost Towns and hot springs and waterfalls and it is a great area for camping.Editing
This photo is not post-processed this picture is the way it was taken. I like to take the pictures the way it is and keep it as natural it is .In my camera bag

Take the right equipment, go to the location you want to photograph. Go in the morning early or later in the afternoon. Light is than the best and wait for the perfect light to arrive. Never rush !! I always try to avoid midday shooting. Pay attention to direction from were the sun is shining, and what direction the wind is blowing, watch the shades were/how they fall. Have the controls on the camera were you want them, have rain gear nearby, you never know! For taken photos from waterfalls, rivers and fast flowing waters. I like the shutter speed short, this because I want to be able to see the real water, the bubbles and the flow. In short said: "Keep it natural and not looking artificial". And be not afraid for being Artistic. It is worth while. Good photos are always in demand and will be appreciated ! Good Luck !!! Loekie/Gerard
