Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on my couch using natural light.

Time

it was in the morning, i have large east facing windows in my living room, they get a beautiful light in the morning before the sun gets too high

Lighting

I love using natural light.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7200 with a 50mm lens. I think this is shot at f1.8.

Inspiration

My beauiful kitten inspired me, she was such a cutie and just loved cuddling up on these cushions on the couch.

Editing

there isn't much processing here, just basic lightning and contrast. a little bit of vibrance to bring out her colours

In my camera bag

i always have my Nikon D7200 with a 50mm prime, a wide angle for my part time job as a real estate photographer and the kit zoom lens that came with my last camera. My favourite lens by for is the 50mm which i shot this picture with.

Feedback

Be quick, be prepared, they will never do what you want. Be adaptable and make sure you have the right settings on your camera before you even think about pointing it at the animals, they will react to the big black thing in their face and sometimes they will just run away and you've lost your chance. so get in there quick!
