This is one of my favorite places in Lofoten. It is in between the town of Flakstad and Vareid. With the tons of images on the web plus the awesome function of google maps street view, searching for places to photograph in Lofoten was very easy!

Photographing Stortinden was tricky. You need a day of rain so that you'll get a lot of water over these rocks. So glad it did! When I got to this place, I feel that the 16mm lens on a full frame body is not wide enough to grasp the vastness of the place. I kept on taking photos in vertical orientation for a while then, light bulb! Took three horizontal frames, first pointing to the mountain and sky, second to a part of the waterfalls and the mountain, and third tilted down to get the entire falls. Then hand-stitched them in processing to get a vertical panorama. Let me know what you think!
