Our trip to Glacier National Park started after a two day break in Palouse. It’s 8 hours drive going to the Glacier Park from there. Guess what’s amazing about summer season?! The late sunsets! So to make the looooong drive worthwhile, we made sure to squeeze a sunset shoot before making our way to park’s campground.
Thanks to my awesome buddies Hillary and Terrence, I knew exactly where to stop for this view. Got there just in time. Ha! what I didn’t anticipate was the mountain temp. Brrrrr, it was waaaay too cold for the summer season. LOL. I had two options to photograph. The beargrass OR the flowing water?
Grabbed my gear, tripod, bear spray and chose the water waaaaaay up top. It was slippery-steep but manageable. Found this colorful bunch of Subalpine Spiraea on the way up with Mt. Oberlin, Cannon Mountain and Bird Woman Falls as it’s backdrop. How can one turn back from an amazing view?
