I took this photo while I was walking to work in Ipswich, Suffolk UK. I had to park my car along side a park which I had a 20 minute walk into the town.Time
This was taken at around 7am on a winter morning.Lighting
As this was a winter morning the lighting was quite muted with the overcast sky. I was walking past terraced houses and spotted this small plant with a dew drop on it. While taking the picture the auto flash kept popping up, as there was not much light. I’d started by forcing the flash to stay down, but the lighting was too dark. I then decided to try and mute some of the blinding light from the flash with my hand, and the result was amazing. The light went through my fingers giving this great lighting effect.Equipment
Just carried me camera on its own, no other equipment.Inspiration
I have a great fascination with macro, so seeing a perfectly placed drop of drew was a perfect shot for me.Editing
Some, due the the time of day the red was still quite muted. I used photoshop to just enhance the vibrancy. In my camera bag
Camera, len selection, batteries and tripod depending where I plan to go.Feedback
Unfortunately no, this image was just pot luck on a miserable morning walk to work.
