Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in a quarry near my city, the intention was to simulate an African savannah, here in Brazil.Time
The photos were taken during the afternoon, we started shooting around 16 hours going up to 20h, when it was night. We wanted to catch the golden light of sunset.Lighting
We use golden hitters to accentuate the yellow sunlight, the body of the model was all maqueado with cream and gold color washEquipment
I used a 5D MarkII, 70 ~ 200 f4 lens, golden batter, and the car light for night shots.Inspiration
Wanted to prove to photographers of our region we can make beautiful photos simulating different geographic regions without having to travel too, just use a good looking, good lighting that you get the expected result.Editing
post-processing was done in lightroon and finishing in photoshop, nothing has been done too much or too different. In my camera bag
Carry two 5D MarkII, a lens 24 ~ 70 2.8, 70 ~ 200 f4 lens, 50mm 1.4, 3 x 580EXII, 4 x radio flash, extender cable, ND filter, iPad to preview some photos, and tripe hitter for lighting.Feedback
Looks best advice I give is to study the light, because light is photography, and if you master it, be able to produce beautiful images without the use of photoshop trickery.
