Location
This photo was taken at a hotel in Bristol. I found out about the shoot less than 24 hours before it was to take place.Time
This was taken on 17th December 2016 at approx 10:30am. It's probably my favourite shot of this particular shoot, which was a wedding for a different culture to my own. I do feel honoured to have been allowed to do this shoot and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.Lighting
There was very little light available so I used a soft box and studio flash bounced off the ceiling in the room.Equipment
II used a Nikon D3200, Sigma 70 - 300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro. The shot was taken hand held, studio lighting was used.Inspiration
My partner set the shot up as she has way more experience of this type of photography than me. I owe her everything for being able to get this shot.. This was the first wedding shoot that I have ever done and I was extremely nervous when I found out about it.Editing
No post processing on this one apart from converting to black and white. In my camera bag
I don't own a prime lens I'm sorry to say. My standard load out is a Nikon D3200 with a AF-S Nikor 18-55mm 1:3.5 -5.6 G, a AF-S Nikor 55-200mm 1:4 -5.6G and a Sigma 70-300mm f4 -5.6 DG Macro lenses.. A selection of filters CPL and ND2 ND4 & ND8 a TT560 Speedlite Flash, IR remote and lots of lens cloths. Spare batteries and SD cards.Feedback
Go with the flow on the day, try to keep everything natural and relaxed. Allow the subject to be themselves and be at ease with you. Talk to them and ask them if they are comfortable with what you are trying to achieve. Trust your instincts and try to push your own boundaries to reach your maximum potential.
