Location
I took this photo in souther Iceland...This is Bruarfoss waterfall, situated near Geysir...It is situated near the main road that leads to gulfoss..But it is wery difficult to find anyway...Time
It was late in the afternoon when flat grey sky gave way to some diffused sunray..This light condition vas fantastic because it gave tridimensionality to the sceneLighting
Diffuse late afternoon light helped increasing saturation in blu water...This soft light was very important to create a deramy atmosphereEquipment
I shooted whith a canon 6d camera with 17-40 f4 L lens...A cirular polarizer was mounted on it...Camera was setted on a gitzo systematic tripodInspiration
Color of water and the canyon created by the river leads me deep inside the scene...I found myself with feet totally immersed in cold water...Editing
I processed tjis image using several techniques...Luminosity masks, orton effect, color dodging, light bleeding, sharpeningIn my camera bag
When i hike i usually carry on my shoulder an F-Stop Satori bag filled with the following objects: -Canon 6d camera -Canon M3 mirrorless camera -Canon 17-40 L lens -Canon 24-105 f4 L lens -Canon 70-200 f4 L IS lens -filters (ND3, big stopper, polarizer) -remote control -additional batteries -cleaning drapes -torches -additional clothes -Gitzo Sysematic tripodFeedback
If you want to create images like this you need to go deep inside the scene...In order to capture water moviment you must use shutter speed not too slow...Something like 1/4 or 1/2 sec...
