Location

October 2016, around 6 PM (no worries, she wasn't cold, It's Summer that time of year here in NZ)Lighting
Lighting was mainly natural light and a small off camera flash to the right. The sky was pretty overcast, so rather soft light over allEquipment
Canon EOS 6d, Sigma 50 mm f1.4 ART, Altura flash off camera. No tripods etc.Inspiration
I've always liked waterfalls, lush green landscapes, moss covered rocks, ferns etc. In this case I found this ideal spot when having a walk. I've been very lucky to know a perfect model for this, who knows how to move - we ended up with 1600 shots in 2 hours.Editing
Yes, I used photoshop, to reduce noise, even out and accentuate lighting, contrasts etc. It's about 8 layers. In my camera bag
atm I carry a 6d or a 5d m3, preferably a tamron 24-70 f2.8 as my everyday gear if there's no shots planned.Feedback
My advice, even it sounds rather general, don't try to copy others, and don't listen to others too much. Finding your own style can only happen, when you experiment, not when you follow other's workflows.
