Location
One of my favourite places to get inspired whether is art or photograpy: Pitt Meadows, BC, CanadaTime
I remeber walking on a dike along the Alouette River early in a morning to look for an inspiration for my next painting. As I came around the corner I saw the beautifull warm sun rays shedding light on the dike and illuminating the flowers growing on the slopes of the dikeLighting
I always enjoy the golden hours of photography. The light is so beautiful at the morning hours when the sun wakes up everything in it's pathway. The umber rays pentrating through liefage of the trees to reach out to the wild and yet beautiful flowers hidding in a darkness of the early dawn.Equipment
To take this shot I used Sony A7 with 24-70 f/4 lens without any tripod. I don't like using flash of any kind in nature. I use the sunlight to do the work for me.Inspiration
I enjoy going in nature. We live in cities with all the polution whether it's noise, air etc. That morning I was looking for an interesting subject matter for my art. I always take reference photos cause you cannot stop the ever changing light. When I came across this area I saw the warm light producing the mestery in the scene.Editing
I always enjoy getting the image streight from the camera without any post production to keep the first impression. What I saw that day didn't need any correction. It was just me and the nature. In my camera bag
I used to carry with me all the heavy DSLR equipment with verious lenses, extra betteries and extra SD cards not to mention tripod. Most cameras have built in IBIS nower days. Besides tripods slow me down. for me to capture the image is more improtant than all that fency gear. I like using small mirrorless, no tripod.Recently I have been playing with Sony RX100 VII but I preffer the Canon's color sience. Thinking of The Canon M6 II. Glass is very important. Anything F/2.8 or lower would be my choice.Feedback
Just free yourself from carrying all the heavy gear and rather invest your energy in focusing on the shot. What makes the best shot is not your gear but time and location
