Location
I took this photo in Bournemouth in England at a reptile photo day.Time
It was set in a studio style setting. Using a lighting set up with a backdrop.Lighting
The lighting was set up using a lighting rig. I adjusted the setting to highlight the colours of the frog.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3200. I didn't use a macro lens for the shot which most people do. I used a 55mm to 200mm the difficulty with using lenses like this is,you need to be at least a metre away from the animal or the camera will not shoot.Inspiration
I love wildlife in general, capturing different species really captivates me. Finding new species opens your eyes to the beauty of nature. The colours, the detail and just there behaviour will win you over.Editing
I use lightroom, I don't spend much theme on it however, simply because with wildlife I do not believe in altering or changing images. It's true beauty is captured the way you see it.In my camera bag
I have my D3200 with standard 55mm lens,70-300mm and 55-200mm. I find with wildlife using the 200mm lens is probably the best choice. Animals move, and so you really need a lens that is versatile and that can operate close up and at a distance. I like getting up close and personal trying to capture the animals personality.Feedback
The best thing is to watch the subjects movement, think how and what you want to capture and obviously where you can find the subjects. Macro photography is growing, a number of places offer photo days or you can go out into the local fields and ponds in search of these creatures.
