I spent a winter in Montreal recently, and put up a backyard feeder. I love to get to know the local wildlife, and there is no better way in a urban are than thought a bird feeder. I had plenty of Cardinals, blue jays, junco's, and about a million sparrows visit all of the time. It also attracted a merlin, falcon, and hawk a few times, which was amazing to see in my backyard. This little specimen, we named Luna, and was a regular. I always bought her and her friends, their favorite black sunflower seeds. On snowy days, it was like a scene from Bambi. Birds everywhere.
