Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the stunning Library in Stuttgart. A really peaceful and beautiful place to visit.

Time

This was taken in the Early evening around 7pm in August.

Lighting

This was taken just using the available light. Natural light from above and the artificial lights around the books.

Equipment

Taken with my Nikon D610. Lens was my kit lens 24mm - 300mm at 24mm. Tripod was used and no flash.

Inspiration

The internet I have seen a lot of great images from inside this library and as I was driving through Germany we took an evening in Stuttgart to visit this location.

Editing

Very little done to the image just a little contrast and clarity in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I have my Nikon D610 with the kit lens 24mm - 300mm. Also a wide angle lens 14-28 mm also 2 fixed lens 50mm F1.4 and 105mm F2.0 DC Nikon lens. A good selection of Lee Filters. Along with my 2 Nikon flashes and some small modifiers.

Feedback

Always spend some of your photography time looking at other peoples images for locations and inspirations. When you are at the location spend time getting the image correct in camera. Also when at the location take a number of shots from different angles and locations to make sure you have not missed the shot.
