Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken Northwest of Mt. Rainier...near my home Auburn, Wa. I live in an area that I see this Mt. everyday.

Time

I took this during the afternoon on a summer day in 2017...not a great day for pictures ....it was a little hazy.....

Lighting

It was a hazy day and the sun was on the South side and reflecting off this unique cloud formation.

Equipment

I was using a EOS...Canon Rebel T3i with a Tamron lens....16-300.....no tripod. I now have a Canon 77d. I now have a Canon EOS R 7......Fantastic camera.....

Inspiration

The cloud formation was very unique....and I watch for these rings during the summer months....I just happened to catch this large one on a sunny day. The one negative here was a lot of smoke from Canada forest fires...but couldn't pass it up. UPDATE....The Mt. has many moods.....all depend on the weather.

Editing

I'm new to this photo hobby....so the only thing I did was crop the photo a little....I want to learn about Lightroom.... To improve my pictures.....

In my camera bag

Now I have a Canon 77D ....a macro lens....a Canon EFS 55-250 lens....a Tamron 16-300 lens...extra batteries....extra SanDisk Card....selfie stick....and sometimes a Tripod.....light rain jacket.....small med. Kit.... (important).....sunglasses.....Also....Sigma 150-600 Contemporary lens that fits my Canon body. This is a great lens and very affordable. ..... UPDATE....I now have a Canon EOS R 7.....and use my Sigma 150-600 with it.....I'm very happy with the results.....I love using it for wildlife......

Feedback

Well.... You need to live around a Mt. The weather and time of year is going to determine the moods of any Mt. Range.....wind currents are also a factor....sometimes these circles only last a few minutes.
