A panorama of Mcmurdo as seen from the inoperative Help Pad. Winters at Mcmurdo see no use from the store of helicopters kept here. They are a mode of transportation for the summer season only. Instead the space is occupied by vehicles downed for the winter. Seen in the distance is the galactic center with Observation hill frame right. A faint glow of the auroras can be seen center of the frame right above town.
