Location
I was visiting Longwood Gardens outside of Philly and there was pond with a lot of lily pads in it. i noticed that there were a few dragonflies buzzing around and decide to focus on a taking a shot.Time
This was taken in the middle of the day.Lighting
It was all natural lighting. I was taught early on that if you don't like the shot move your feet. So I walked around the pond to get the right lighting on the dragonfly.Equipment
I used my nikon camera with a 200mm lens. No tripod, flash or anything else outside of just the camera and a steady hand.Inspiration
I get inspiration in the moment. I look at my surroundings of where I am and see what I want to take at the time. I went in with the intentions of taking the flowers and garden, but saw the dragon fly and focused on that.Editing
Yes, I had to crop the photo to get the size and I wanted with the detail I wanted. I also enhanced the color and sharpen the image. In my camera bag
Honestly I typically just take the camera and a few different lenses.Feedback
Patients....I take as many pictures until I get the shot that I want.
