Location
I've taken this picture in Artis Zoo, this litle burrow-owl, come to sit for me on the ground, so I could not move to change my lens on the camera, otherwise he flew away. I love being in the apehouse, where birds and apes can freely move around you, you have to search for the animals, and sometimes you are extremely lucky to get him on cameraTime
I thought it was around 16:00 hoursLighting
It was inside building taken picture without flash , iso 800, shuttertime 1/25, but next time I want to try 1/60Equipment
I use a canon EOS 1000d , this time without tripod, because the birdy was before my feet on the ground, so I could only move slowly to the ground to take the pictureInspiration
I am always inspired by animals to take unusual shots of them, and to show the beauty of them, especially for the beauty of each feather on the bird, and the lovely pose they show.Editing
I don't like processing, I only change light or darkness a little bit. The picture is not cropped, but fully naturalIn my camera bag
I am going on tour with my wide-angle lens, mu 300mmlens and sometimes my macrolens, for taking macropictures from insects on flowers. And I take my light-weight-tripod with me .Feedback
If you want to improve your pictures, you can go to a zoo, and try to take animals in many poses, try different weathers, and times of the day to take pictures of the same animal. Go and have your camera on the same height as the eyes of the animal, so it will become more natural, than if you look down upon them
