Best time to go to New Zealand? Choose between Autumn, Spring or Winter. In Autumn, you get those gold-yellow, green and red foliage. Then It’s flowers and lupines season for end Spring. Frozen lakes, snow filled mountains + foggy and moody weather for Winter. Personal favorite is winter. Cool breeze, snow capped mountains and moody landscapes!
Moke lake, a hidden gem in the heart of Queenstown. A bit tricky to get to this vantage point. You need to step on partially submerged soft tussocks and let me tell you, It’s like going on an intense workout!
Got there early, watched the fog as it rolled in. Happy as I was able to get something before the mountain gets covered by it. It pays to be early!! I was planning to get my self further down in the water to get a better perspective with the cracks and reflection, but when I saw my friend went in and the water was chest level, I said to my self never mind. Lol!
