Behind The Lens

Location

I have taken this photo in Dubai. It is called Dubai Festival City (DFC).

Time

It is taken early in the morning just before sunrise (around 5:00 O'clock). For this picture I Wake up 4 O'Clock and pick up the all required gears and went to the location by taxi.

Lighting

In the picture the Building looks like a single building but actually it is combination of 3 different building.

Equipment

The picture was shoot with Canon 650D with 18-55 basic kit lens using a simple light weight travel Tripod and 2 stop ND filter. It took 47 second exposure time with 22 F stop and ISO 100 and 18 mm focal.

Inspiration

I was new as photographer and I had new camera though it is Canon 650D a entry level camera. I was learning photography and really interested to take sunrise picture and find this location. I wake up early in the morning and went there by taxi. I reach there before sunrise and started practicing the long long exposure with ND filter and I got this picture.

Editing

Normally I enhance color using Adobe Lightroom and photoshop. so in this picture also I enhance color and saturation and remove some spots using Adobe LightRoom.

In my camera bag

Normally I carry all the equipment what I have because I don't have much equipment. I carry 2/3 lenses, ND filter , UV filter, tripod, remote controller for long expose and cleaning kit.

Feedback

Capturing picture is fun and If you want to understand nature please try photography. If you are into photography practitioner always try differently like using gears, filters and angles etc. If you use long exposure it will give you different looks of the image , something interesting.
