Behind The Lens

Location

My friends ask me where I find all the snails I take photos of, but I've developed a "snaildar" and know where to find them. This photo is just one I saw that day when I went out on a "snail expedition".

Time

They're out in the morning when the grass is still covered with a little dew.

Lighting

No special lightning except for the natural sunlight.

Equipment

I used my Sony a5100 with standard lens and a Raynox attached.

Inspiration

Snails have always been one of my favourite objects. It's actually not as easy as one could imagine, since they tend to crawl into their house when they're scared.

Editing

I've added some saturation and some other adjustments using Pixlr in my smartphone.

In my camera bag

No fancy or expensive gear, just my camera and the Raynox clip-on.
