Behind The Lens

Location

taken at Salt Creek Beach , Dana Point , Ca.

Time

exposed during civil twilight , probably 20 min. after sunset

Lighting

winter light , here in Calif the winter sunsets pay out more consistently

Equipment

I use mirrorless ILC's ...here I was shooting a Takumar SMC 28/3.5 stopped down to f11 for dof, iso 100 , 13 sec. This is a 45 year old manual lens...fun to shoot !

Inspiration

When I go out to shoot I get in a creative "zone" and discover " photographic compositions" here I saw the clouds as an compositional element , and how the tire tracks & bluff & clouds all worked together, harmoniously.

Editing

shot in raw ....pp in LR5... single exposure , exposed for the highlights , push the shadows , bring out the colors with split toning

In my camera bag

sony a7ii 14/2.8 24 /1.4 35 /3.5 55/1.8 135/3.5 cpl , nd , gnd filters ,a couple small led flashlights

Feedback

get out , shoot a lot ...shoot raw & take time to learn post processing... I have Parkinson's disease ... and make nice photographs...so can you 8^)
