The famous glacier lagoon in Iceland - Black beach, JoekulsarlonTime
at night, 8:30pm. As the midnight sun was up in iceland (summer), there still was enough light to get this picture.Lighting
2 sec / f11 / ISO 100 When it was brighter, i used a ND Filter, but in this case, this was not necessary.Equipment
Nikon D7000, Sigma 10-20mm (4,5 - 5.6), TripodInspiration
The ice is taken back from the sea. The glacier at the other side from the lagoon "drops" his pieces of ice(bergs), then the ice-parts flow along a small river into the sea. The movement and the clearness of the ice/water and weather was my target do show it in one picture.Editing
Lightroom, sharpness, clarity, cropping. And convert to black an white for the contest. See the color version of this picture here: http://www.kneubuehlers.net/albums/island-impressionen/content/dsc-2158/In my camera bag

Take care with the waves. I had to run several times back because a big wave hit the beach and the waves almost took my camera back instead the ice-cubes. Clean the equipment after a trip at the sea. Take the pictures when the waves goes back (after crashing to the beach), this gives the nice movements. But also try the other direction. Start with 1-5 seconds...
