Fabulous shot Matt. All those cracks and lines says one good earthquake and it would not be standing long!

Thank you very much, Chuck! This chimney is part of an old abandoned mill that I pass every day on my way to work. The mill is already partially collapsed and this chimney is one of the most stable looking remnants of the place. Luckily we don't really get earthquakes up here... for it's sake. ;)

Thank you, Glenda! The plane wasn't really intended to be part of the shot. It just felt like butting in.

The color of the blue sky, the details of the chimney, and the small plane make an impressive visual statement.

Thank you very much! I had been trying to get a decent shot of this chimney for a few weeks before I finally got this one.

I love the rich colors in the bricks and the way the sun is hitting it from the right side. The plane in the background is cool also. Fantastic shot Matt !!
