This photo was taken in Canberra, Australia, at the Miniature English Village.

Time

I was staying with my friends Charles and Marilyn in Canberra and they took me to see the village. I'm not sure of the time of day, but I think it was in the afternoon.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny day, so the lighting was perfect for photography. I particularly like the fact that there are reflections in the pond.

Equipment

As this photo was taken a number of years ago, I cannot recall what camera I was using at the time.

Inspiration

I was enthralled with the miniature village and I took lots of photos. I chose to take this photo because the cottage is set among trees with a pretty garden in the middle ground. I like the pond in the foreground and the castle in the background.

Editing

No, I did not do any post-processing.

In my camera bag

Currently I use a Canon 8x optical zoom, 16 mega pixels digital camera. That is all I use.

Try to visit places of this nature on days of bright sunlight. There are many aspects worthy of photography, so it is important that you have plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere and to use you camera to the best advantage.
