Love the crank on the front of the truck. Great picture.
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

The Truck was taken inside an old barn with very little room to move around ,so had to make a panorama to get all the truck in i also bracketed each part of the panorama by 3 stops from -2 to +2 ev. The Background is also a 3 Bracketed shot Photographed in suffolk and a new sky assed shot in Norfolk. The crows were freshet in London and Essex.

Time

Shots taken at different times of the day Truck around 10 Am Backgrounds around 6pm and sunset.

Lighting

All natural light and reworked in photoshop to match

Equipment

Camera was a Canon 500d with standard 18-55 mill lens Hand held no flash

Inspiration

This old truck was a chance find and after i shot it ,went looking for a suitable setting, in the end i took a couple of backgrounds and made my own backdrop.

Editing

A lot of post processing went into this image First Light room to correct lens aberration and to clean up images. then taken into Photomatix Pro to create HDR image Panoramas made in Photoshop and all composited in side Photoshop with final weeks done in Lightroom

In my camera bag

Now shoot Sony A7 28-70mm lens . Canon 70-200L , Metabones connector, ND filters kit from Formatt Hitech, mini tripod, and trigger Trap cable release

Feedback

See something great but in the wrong location then give it a go create your own background and story
