This is a Basotho Shepherd. The Basotho people are the people of Lesotho in Africa. They are a people awaiting a leader to rise up and shepherd them. A nation with high level exports of gold and diamonds, yet the Basotho are some of the poorest in the world because of curuption among their current leaders. Shepherds are viewed as the lowest among these people, so I took this photo from a low positions to raise up this Basotho Shepherd, "the lowest of the low" into a place of honor. Perhaps one day he will break free from his hiding and cross past the chain linked fence to be the shepherd of his people.
