I love her expression. She doesn't look angry to me.

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in street in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. She is a street traditional dancer, she was hoping to get a pretty big money, but only to get coins only. So that why she was angry to those around her.

Time

This is probably one of my favourite images. It took quite a long time, 7 years ago on May 30, 2009.

Lighting

I wanted this image to look have a soul and natural, so I decided to not used speedlight, headlight would be a great way of lighting the scene and adding drama as well as making the story even more intriguing.

Equipment

Canon EOS 40D

Inspiration

The natural expression of the woman made those photo like have a soul and talking more.

Editing

More contrast and reduce exposure of background.

In my camera bag

Handphone, lens filter, memory cards

Feedback

To get photo like this, you have to be patient, always looking around. The equipment must be in the ready state, usually I set up my camera with the largest aperture priority (to get optimal bokeh)
