Behind The Lens

Location

Firsts and foremost, thank you for inviting me to contribute to your blog. This photograph was taken at the port of the city of Arhangel ( known also as Arkhangelsk)< Russia.

Time

It was the incoming of the recently restored Royal Fregat Kruzenshtern in to the port in the second part of the day. Midday, I must say. The weather was fine and shiny, nearly cloudless, the waters werer still, whish is quite unusual.

Lighting

Thanks Lord, the Light was all natural. Just his Highness the SUN.

Equipment

I still use an anateur version of Nikon. Hope to win one day the professional Nikon camera in order to master my skill and bring joy to my fans with even better shots and professionally done photographs.

Inspiration

My greattgrandfather was the Tsar's Navy Admiral. I have an inherited passion for sailing and the classical ships, yachts and fregats. Once I have learned of thie Royal Fregat coming into our city port, of course, I could not miss it for anything in the world. Not only I have taken a photo of it, I have visited it personally and touched nearly every fine details on board of it. I have also served a litter payer in its chapel for the crew an its member .

Editing

I have not had any post-processing done. I would not mind if a professional master or the firm would do some refinnement.

In my camera bag

Just the Nikon camera.
