Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near coralville Iowa. My family and I were hiking trying to get some outdoor time before winter set in.

Time

It was some time in the afternoon.

Lighting

The sky was overcast and I increased the warmth in post processing but the exposure was exactly what i was looking for.

Equipment

I used my canon 60D and the kit lens it came with: 18-135 am I believe. This is a hand held shot looking through the view finder not the back screen.

Inspiration

It was such a nice shot. I like taking photos of tree covered roads because they look like tunnels and it just further signifies movement to me.

Editing

I increased the warmth and yellows a bit in post and cropped so that the image was within the rule of thirds more.

In my camera bag

Normally I have my Canon 60D and all my lenses: the kit lens, a 10mm to 18mm, and a 50mm prime. Depending on what I am looking for I like have the variety. Other equipment i sometimes have is my reflector.

Feedback

Take your time and breath. If its windy use burst mode.
