My first take on lightning :) ... I did a bit of retouching as there were one or two very annoying lights.

Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken from my rooftop. It was a very interesting weather and I couldn't resist to capture it!

Time

It was taken at around 11pm.

Lighting

Lighting obviously is all natural

Equipment

This was sit with the Canon EOS 700D with the 18-55 EF-S lens. I also used a vanguard tripod.

Inspiration

The weather. It was just an epic night. Very unique and awe inspiring view!

Editing

Post processing was done using Photoshop CC. I did decrease the exposure of the trees in the foreground trees and cloned out a few distracting light bulbs. And of course a little bit of playing around with the contrast and stuff.

In my camera bag

I only own the eos 700D and 18-55 ef-s, 55-250 ef-s and 50 f/1.8 STM. So that's all i take with me. I'd love to add more to my collection but I'm still student (not photography by the way) so not much money to spare!

Feedback

Well I don't think I'm the right person to ask for advice. I'm learning by myself and I think learning never ends. Though my tip would be to follow the pros and try to learn as much as you can. It doesn't matter who teaches you. The important thing is that, that you acquire as much knowledge as you can.
