While you didn't win my Oceanscapes photo challenge, your photo was one of my top three favorites! Congratulations on taking such a great photo, I can't wait to see more from you in the future.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo from a helicopter which gave me a great view of this magnificent breathing island/volcano.

Time

Probably around 2 or 3 pm. On a fairly sunny day.

Lighting

The reflection from the windows was a bit of a pain, otherwise there was plenty of light and positions to shoot.

Equipment

Kodak easyshare

Inspiration

I like volcanoes and had been bursting to see this one. This is White Island it is located on the west coast of the north island.

Editing

I tried to get rid of the reflections from the glass with out wrecking the shot.

In my camera bag

I had a Kodak easyshare Now I have a Nikon D7100 18-100mm lens 50 mm lens Cleaning fluid and paper Spare battery Spare card

Feedback

If you have the opportunity to visit something special don't pass it up. Think out a way to avoid capturing reflection from the glass. It is as if this island is living and breathing. I enjoyed the visit very much. Do something from your bucket list.
