Clatteringshaws Loch is a reservoir in the Dumfries and Galloway district of Southern Scotland.
This reservoir was created by damming the River Dee - which runs through Galloway - as part of the Galloway Hydro Electric Scheme.

As the area is designated as a Dark Sky Park, the loch makes an ideal location for viewing the celestial objects of the night sky. This particular viewpoint looking out towards the darkest parts when night falls.
