Location
This photo was taken near the small village of Loganton, PA located smack in the middle of Amish country.Time
I took the photo around 12:30PM on March 19, 2016. It was sort of an overcast day and very chilly.Lighting
I really don't have anything to share about the lighting other than the fact that I wanted the photo to be in a slightly shaded environment. Luckily, the overcast day helped out in that department.Equipment
This was shot with my Sony a6000 in Aperture Priority mode, f/8.0 with my 16 - 50mm kit lens, no filters.Inspiration
I've always been a covered bridge and church fan. I love to photograph them if the look interesting to me. One day while out Geocaching with a friend, we were tracking down a cache that led us directly to the bridge as luck would have it. I saw it and just had to get a shot of it as it looked a little unlike any other covered bridge that I'd seen so far. We did get the cache though, after the pictures!Editing
I did do some post-processing. I originally took three bracketed exposures, imported them into Photomatix Pro and selected a starting preset that looked interesting. I then sent it over to Lightroom and made some final adjustments to my tastes before finishing it.In my camera bag
I keep my Sony a6000 in the bag along with the 16 - 50mm kit lens. I pretty much use that lens in about 95% of my shots. I also keep a Sony 1018 wide angle lens in my bag for landscape shots. Plus it's always good to keep extra batteries and memory cards in the bag!Feedback
Just be prepared. You never know when you are going to run into an interesting shot!
