Location
This photo was taken on Big Sur coast which is located in California.Time
I share a special bond with this location. I always loved Big Sur, even before I was into photography. This coast line is a visual treat and once you are into photography it really becomes a challenge to click a mesmerizing picture. So, why is this special to me? Ah, I always wanted to propose to my SO at Big Sur and that is how I found this spot, after a day of strenuous hikes at different places over the coast line. This place feels incredible in person . Although the first thing you see is the big blue ocean, once you are settled you observe that the little stream of water flowing through the rocks creates a small pond. I did not expect this and it is what I consider icing on the cake. Enjoy the picture and any comments are welcome. Thank you for your time :)Lighting
It is a bright Saturday afternoon and I eliminated the reflection on the water using a circular polarizer.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D610, with a 24-85 mm lens and b+w 72mm Kaesemann circular polarizer.Inspiration
After going to Big Sur numerous time with out a camera, the desire to capture the beauty of it became an obsession of mine which fueled me to find this place and click the picture.Editing
I adjusted the white and blacks and made the picture sharper. Did some color corrections as well.In my camera bag
I am a beginner and do not have many lenses. I use 24-85mm for landscapes and 50mm lens for portraits. Some times I capture landscapes with 50mm as it gives much more sharper images.Feedback
As a rule of thumb you should check the weather at Big Sure before heading there to avoid any surprises.
