Before my long term illness i traveled a lot,my favorite places were in the far east, this was taken in Laos , the country is spectacular and mountainous. The people there are so friendly ,kind, and generous. I had a very hard time dealing with how much we in the west take everything for granted , as the people in Laos are very poor. More westerners need to travel more to appreciate what they have.

Water beams is one of my favourite shots, my partner and i took a trip to a few countries in east Asia.... and this was taken at the Kuang Si falls in Luang Prabang in Laos December 2013.Time
It was taken at around 11,30 in the morning as tha sun was just coming over the top of the water falls.Lighting
The lighting was all natural , i had no special attachments or lense , and no background lighting at all.Equipment
I used a simple Fujifilm 10.2 pixel camera on the natural light function.Inspiration
The sun was just in the right place at the right time shining through the mist of the water creating the beams of sun light casting it's colors.Editing
No post processing took place , i had never been there before and the water fell majestically creating the image for me.In my camera bag
My Fujifilm 10.2 camera... it's is simple to use, has many functions and never lets me down with great images.Feedback
My advice is take what you see, don't wait for the moment to lapse, if you hesitate to long the image you want may disappear and lost forever, use natural light for the best effect when taking pictures such as this one i took. Also feel the surroundings you are in to create the mood for you, use your inner feeling and see more than just a photograph.
