Location
This photo was taken in Central Park, New York City.Time
This photo was taken in the early morning hours. I purposely went to Central Park before 7:30am in order to avoid the bystanders, the tourists, the joggers and the lost wanderers like myself.Lighting
It was a cold early morning and position of the sun was ideal to capture the reflection and the stillness of the landscape and the soft strokes of the morning sun on the foliage.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T5 EF 75-300mm f/4-5.5 lensInspiration
I had always wanted to take a fairy tale like shot of a dreamlike far away place. Just like in the movies or in the books I've read.Editing
I enhanced the color since in the original shot the colors are less intense. In my camera bag
I usually carry my camera wherever I go and a UV protector filter.Feedback
I love landscape photography and my advice is to wear comfortable shoes to do plenty of walking. You have to take the time to position yourself in different places and in different angles. You have to play with the light in order to capture a meaningful shot and most of the times going against the position of the sun sets the right mood for the ideal photo. And last, simply trust your eyes.
