I've taken a lot of eagle photos. None could stand next to this. Amazingly beautiful, striking, bold and what a reflection!

Thank you most kindly!!!! I photograph this eagle whenever I can. He is at a conservancy and absolutely splendid to photograph!

Location
This photo was taken at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Vittoria (near Port Dover) Ontario, Canada.Time
This image was shot at 6:30, late afternoon, in July.Lighting
The sun was starting to get low, not close to setting, but the light was getting warm and the shadows were starting to get interesting.Equipment
This image was shot with a Nikon D750 with a Nikon 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.5-5.6 lens.Inspiration
I was at a workshop and we asked the falconer (and owner of the conservancy) if he could fly his bald eagle over the pond for us. He agreed and the rest was magic!Editing
I did very little post processing; I increased the vibrancy and saturation to make the image pop a bit more!In my camera bag
Always my Nikon D750 and a backup camera...generally a D810, D7100 or a D300. For lenses, I always have the 28-300mm, 18-200mm and the 70-300mm in my bag. Often I also carry my 200-500mm and my Sigma 150-500.Feedback
Timing is always of the essence .....wait for the moment when you think the wings are going to touch or drag the water and start to shoot. I shoot on continuous high so that I will have a few frames of the motion. I often shoot on shutter aperture at 1/1000 at 1000 ISO so that I get a clear and sharp image.
