A very pretty group of arboreal nocturnal snakes, and as the name suggests...feed on snails and slugs.
It always fascinates me how snakes that feed on terrestrial gastropods have all evolved a similar facial structure...anywhere in the world, without knowing anything about a species you can tell if it feeds on gastropods just looking at it's face.
Snake found just like this, coiled resting on a large leaf, have found other species in the same manner. Must be a Dipsas thing.
