Very nice... a little post processing to remove the tree behind them, would have improved the appearance. Alternatively, turn it into a square picture trimming top close to their heads and bring the sides in a bit. That would warm the picture (reducing the cold snow).

Location
I shot this photo up in the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque New Mexico in the winter of 2016 of January. This was a family shoot of a friend of mine and who was getting married and these are her fiancé's twin daughters.Time
it was around 10:00amto noon.Lighting
The light at times was challenging and the snow was bright and very chilly. I was careful how I posed my subjects, but there were some shots that were over exposed. The majority turned out fantastic, especially with the help of photo shop, Greater than Gatsby actions and Florabella actions. I love those tools and use them all the time.Equipment
I hardly use a tripod and my camera of choice is my Nikon D3. I used several lenses but the one I used for this shot was my Sigma 70-200mm. I do not work with flash very much and my choice of shooting is always outdoors.Inspiration
I love taking photos of people, it is my favorite subject though I shoot everything. These girls were so adorable and I wanted to capture that special bond between twins and sisters.Editing
I used photo shop to brighten the photo as it was a little dull. I also used Florabella actions in photoshop to give the colors a boost and to pop.In my camera bag
Nikon D3, lens 50mm, Sigma 70-200mm, 85mm, and my 24-120mm.Feedback
Practice makes perfect. I suggest experimenting with settings and use a subject that has patience if you normally do not do outdoor photography. Than take those shots and find one you love and experiment and be creative in photoshop with lighting, actions and color. To me photography is art so do not be scared to experiment after all you can also delete and start again!
