Location

Vencice standing on the Rialto bridge

Time

Around 19 p. m. in January

Lighting

Difficult lightning because of the low light and the moving water but wonderful effects also due to the water and the many lamps on the street and inside the houses

Equipment

Camera: NIKON D5200 Aperture: f/5.3 ISO: 3200 Exposure: 10/150 No flash, no tripod but I used the rare of the bridge

Inspiration

The unique atmosphere of Venice at night (and always), the somehow mystical and lonely atmosphere of that special scenery that reminded me a bit of a Hopper painting

Editing

Yes, sonce the image was very dark I had to edit the light, the colours and contrast (with photoshop)

In my camera bag

A spare SD-card and a Hama Macro lens (2x)

Feedback

If you do that please take a tripod and don't be so lazy like me. This helps a lot and gives you the freedom to move around when there is no rare or wall. Of course you have to try which aperture and exposure time serves you the best - any automatic programme will not help a lot here. Definetely NO FLASH, that would kill the magic....
