We were traveling back from a national park, perched high atop a mountain range and off to the west was a fire on the side of the mountain. The smoke was filling the local valleys and adding a little haze to the air. I would have loved to have taken the image around sunset but it was a little past midday and we had hours of driving ahead of us, down a very windy track.
