Location
This picture was taken in Nepal, in a place called Tadapani. On the picture you see the Annapurna South, 7219 meters above sea level.Time
It was early morning, with sunrise. It was a little foggy and when the sun broke through the fog, there appeared a beautiful light shining on the mountain.Lighting
The sun was still low so there was a great difference between the light and dark areas on the mountain. Therefore I decided to use HDR, so I could capture both the dark and light areas wellEquipment
The picture was taken with a Sony NEX-6 in combination with a Konica 50mm 1.4, using an adapter. No tripod was used.Inspiration
Mountains inspire me. I climb them and admire them. At the foot of a mountain am I wonder what it would be to climb the mountain. I realize how small we are as human beings, in front of such a huge mountain. Nepal is the mountain paradise with most high mountains in the worldEditing
As I said I wanted an HDR photo. That's why I took three photos with different exposures. I used photomatix pro to create an HDR photo. Then I used Photoshop to do some extra (small) post-processing, like local contrast, brightness etc.In my camera bag
It depends on what kind of photo's I want to take. If I want to do some landscapes, then my 10-18 Sony lens is my most used lens, but for this photo I used my 50mm 1.4. I normally don't use a tripod, as I want to travel as light as possible. For a photoshoot I mostly use; - My camera (it was a Sony nex-6, but now it is a Sony A7II) - Sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens (with la-ea4 adapter) - Konica 50mm 1.4 lens (with adapter) - Minolta 85mm 1.4 (with la-ea4 adapter) - Konica 135mm 2.5 lens - Spare batteriesFeedback
When you are planning a trip, do some research on what kind of scenery there will be and what kind of possible picture you can take. Then take the best gear for the job and use the sunlight and nature to show the beauty of the scenery. Try to be creative, try to see what others don't see.
