Location
The photo was taken in galvanizing mill in Bridgend, South Wales.Time
The photo was taken in late autumn, in the morning, in the so-called "golden hour"Lighting
Beautiful morning sun shining into the factory through the open gates highlighting fumes. Golden hour gave a warm color and highlighted the mystery of this place.Equipment
This was shot on Canon 5D + C24-85.Inspiration
The photo was taken by everyday observation of the factory in which I worked. For several weeks in the year light falls at a right angle to highlight the tanks with acid and zinc.Editing
Photo was developed in Lr. In addition, I used the plug-in from Nik Software to sharpen pictureIn my camera bag
In my bag usually you can find the old Canon 5D, Canon 24-85 and cheap Canon 50 / 1.4. One or two analog cameras plus a few rolls of film. I'm not a person who must have the latest equipment. Thanks to this I am not worried about the damage to the equipment. It lets me focus on the pictures.Feedback
To make the picture like this the most important is a good knowledge of places to know when and on what time to be ready for the photo. In this case, the light was good only for 20 minutes per day. A bit of luck is also important because clear skies plays a key role in providing the proper light.
