Location

I took this photo outside on a picnic table at the local marina, it was lunch time with the sun beaming straight on my rings. I edited the lighting to get this photo get the dark background.

The table that the rings were sitting on is bright green and I wanted to try to change that. I darkened the background in Light Room.

Hand held with my love Nikon D750

Inspiration

The sun was shining so brightly and my rings were super sparkly, I wanted to capture that.

In my camera bag

Half sized tripod and usually just my Nikon, I don't like to carry much else, I feel my wide angle lens suits most occasions.

Feedback

Trying to take a photo of how sparkly jewellery is is hard, to me, it was just editing to make the subject contrast with the background. To look at the original photo, its almost 'delete' worthy.
