Great shot, love the pollen on the grasshopper. And great colors. Voted

Location
This photo was taken on the driveway by my garage in a neighborhood. This guy was quite tiny, but the 100mm macro makes him look huge. I love the way he is covered in pollen and his eyes are full of white balls.Time
This was early morning.Lighting
The light in the morning, as just before sundown, is quite soft and even with no harsh shadows.Equipment
Canon EOS 50D body, lens was Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM MacroInspiration
It seems I am always looking for interesting visual images. I just happened to see this grasshopper and ran to get my camera. The contrasting red and yellow in the tiny flower looked great with the green of the grasshopper. He was posing just perfectly seeming to be looking at me.Editing
The image didn’t need much post-processing. I added a touch more contrast and some cropping for the right framing. In my camera bag
I have a Tamrac Velocity 8x Sling Pack shoulder bag where I keep the 50D, the EF 100mm f/2.8 macro, plus an EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, and an EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM IS.Feedback
I am always looking at everything around me, framing the world as if I wanted to take a photo of it. Usually, then I can only use my cell phone to capture an image, but phones nowadays have such high megapixel counts, the images can be great.
