Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in London, I was there for a concert and some sightseeing and the photo opportunity was too good to pass, i'm a sucker for historical looking buildings.

Time

It was around maybe 2pm, I can't remember the exact time, the whole day was a bit of a blur as it was my last day there a lot was crammed into a pretty short space of time.

Lighting

I usually like taking darker pictures, specifically of the sky at night. But it was an incredibly hot, sunny day and the natural lighting was just perfect for the picture.

Equipment

I used an Xperia z3 to take this.

Inspiration

I wasn't actually intending to go out and take any serious shots, just sightseeing, but this building looked so imposing and important I felt like i just had to. The intricate details are just beautiful.

Editing

I actually didn't edit this photo, this is straight from the camera, I didn't feel it needed any, the lighting was great.

In my camera bag

Currently I only take photos in my spare time, more as a hobby than anything serious as i'm focusing on my studies and I don't have much time or the correct equipment, but I do what I can with what I have, so usually as long as I have my phone i'm good to go.

Feedback

Honestly, i'm just started out so i'm not sure I could give much helpful advice, but as long as you take the time out to get the photo you want with an angle that you feel is right, just seize any opportunity you have, especially if you're just starting out like myself.
