Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Ghoom Station, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills.

Time

I was on a vacation with my family in Darjeeling last year. Just got down on Ghoom Station. Reached there by a toy train at around 10 AM in the morning. Was having a coffee when i heard the sound this train and saw it was approaching the station. This photo was taken then(October 16, 2015 at 10:23 AM)

Lighting

I wanted the picture of look very natural. It was cloudy and the temperature outside was very cold. It was foggy too but then the picture came out with the perfect colors i needed.

Equipment

Camera :- Nion D5200 Lens:- Nikon 18-55mm

Inspiration

It was more of an inner feeling to take this picture. As i always wanted to come to this place since childhood, i was always fascinated about toy trains. Being here when i saw the train coming, i felt like "This is it!".

Editing

No. This picture was taken in sepia mode. Made just a few adjustments.

In my camera bag

My bag consists of my Nikon D5200 camera, a 50mm prime lens, a 18-55mm lens, a 55-200 lens,35mm prime lens and some macro filters.

Feedback

Patience is the key for good photographs. You need to wait to get the right frame at the right time with the right colors. Study your camera better and you will be great as others.
