It was 4.30 am when the bus rocked up to the station. We had previously departed Paris at 10.30 pm the night before. With only less than 2 interrupted hours of sleep, we decided to walk and find somewhere warm. Realising nothing was open so early on a Sunday morning, we kept wearily walking aimlessly. It just so happened that the direction of our travel resulted in our destination being Big Ben. It was now 5.30, the sun had just risen, casting a bright orange glow upon the building, but the best thing was; there was no people around, at all. One perk of being awake early.
